The National Gay Wedding Association (NGWA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit professional organization, was founded in 2019 by Ric Simmons after he experienced bigotry and discrimination in Texas while planning his wedding. 

In 2015, when same-sex marriage became the law of the land, the wedding industry was not prepared. LGBTQ+ weddings do not necessarily follow established traditions, and wedding planners were caught unaware. Very few wedding vendors across this country rose to the occasion to service LGBTQ+ couples. Still today, only five percent of wedding professionals openly advertise that they do not discriminate against LGBTQ+ couples.

VOW was founded by Mabel van Oranje, an avid human rights activist, who had an “aha” moment at a wedding where a couple asked for donations in lieu of gifts, which inspired her to marry the wedding industry to the international child marriage crisis, an issue she championed.

Amsicora Fiori incorporated this international couple’s citrus-tone color palette into stunning floral arrangements, which were balanced with subtle blue linens that created a romantic, organic feel. A Whimsical Wonderland On Italy’s Lake Como

Anastasia and Alexey got married on the shores of Lake Como at a historic villa on a warm September day. They transformed Villa Balbiano into a fanciful fairytale complete with fairies, fawns, and other magical creatures! From the all-white ceremony with flowers designed by Haute Couture Flower that seemed to grow from where the couple stood to the reception filled with touches of luxurious gold, every inch of this wedding designed and planned by Happy Moments Collector feels enchanted.
