A Traditional Balinese Wedding with the Most Spectacular Photos We’ve Ever Seen

From what we can gather, it isn't easy to get married in Bali. You are required to have both a civil and a religious ceremony in one of Indonesia's only recognized religions: Buddhist, Christian Protestant, Christian Catholic, Hindu and Islam. Depending on your faith, there are a myriad of forms and documents that you must present and the country does not recognize same sex marriages. Admittedly, I am no expert on the process and really don't understand just how layered it is to have a marriage officially recognized in Bali, though I do know that the couple behind this particular wedding has me distracted enough from the nuances and focused entirely on the mind boggling beauty of the day. And the photographs from Anastasisiia Krivenok? They are art. And sometimes, that art is the only inspiration that matters for now.
