French Garden Wedding at Château de la Bourdaisière

Zoe and Leeyen wanted the design to feel romantic, French, and timeless. To create this look, we opted for soft shades of blush and rose paired with classic neutrals. The soft palette allowed the historic chateau and gardens to shine while adding a soft, feminine touch to the overall look.

[field title=”Design / Vibe / Vision”]The bride was drawn to romantic yet clean details that added to the feel of the château. We opted for a simple, modern-romantic tablescape and focused our design on a “wow-factor” ceremony. The look was a chic, intimate, garden-party feel that was perfect for the couple. [/field]

Zoe donned an exquisite Galia Lahav gown with a dramatic train, cap sleeves, low back, and delicate applique details that fluttered in the French breeze.

They served classic french cuisine prepared by a local caterer. Zoe was lucky enough to have a tasting pre-pandemic while on a girls trip to Paris.

The overall vision was to create something romantic and true to the setting. The floral design featured delphinium, garden roses, and sweet pea paired with lush greens. The ceremony design was actually inspired by a drawing done by the bride – theRachael Ellen Events team loved bringing her vision to life.

[field title=”Wedding Cake”]Their caterer prepared a classic French wedding cake with sparklers during the cutting. It was one of the highlights of the night! [/field]

Zoe and Leeyen had their amazing photographer Molly Carr Photography capture them pre-wedding for a sunrise session in Paris. These photos are such a treasure to them and tell the story of their magical French wedding celebration.

Zoe and Leeyen got to live their Parisian wedding dream after postponing several times over the course of the pandemic. They both work in healthcare, so it was especially lovely to get to celebrate them after a very grueling few years in their fields.
