Blackberry Farm Winter Wedding

I discovered the beauty that is Blackberry Farm only in recent months but I’d be lying if I didn’t admit that it has since occupied a very frequent spot in my mind. I’m eager to visit (and move in if we’re being honest) and this wedding is not exactly quelling those dreams. Planned and designed by Jennifer Laraia Designs, this winter wedding is cozy, chic, and filled with love, with every intimate moment captured by Natalie Watson. From Jennifer Laraia Designs and Natalie Watson… Anne and Philip’s wedding was truly timeless and a perfect representation of their love story. The elements in the day were sweet, filled with loving memories with family. The reception was an unforgettable party, complete with a Louisiana cajun band with washboards, tambourines and everyone there having the greatest time. It was truly one of the most classic – yet fun weddings we’ve ever been a part of.

Anne and Philip were destined to be together. They both grew up in Louisiana where they attended the same high school. They went their separate ways after graduation but reconnected several years later and have been together ever since. Anne and Philip knew they wanted an elegant, but comfortable dinner party where friends and family could cozy up to the fire, laugh, and share beautiful memories. The beauty of the winter mountain landscape was reflected in using a neutral color palette and natural fibers to bring an overall sense of ease while still keeping the design somewhat traditional. Freesia, bay laurel, olive branches, Bosc pears, and large fluffy peonies provided texture as well as an amazing seasonal fragrance.

Surrounded by family and close friends, Anne and Philip said their vows on the main lawn at Blackberry Farm. The smells of burning firewood and fresh mountain air made for a sunny and memorable afternoon. The couple arrived by horse and carriage to their cocktail hour in the wine cellar at Blackberry Farm. After an elegant dinner, friends and family toasted the happy couple. The night ended with the memorable Leroy and the Zydeco Road Runners as guests sang and danced the night away to their famous cajun tunes.
