Oh, how I love a couple who thinks outside the box. No surprise, the bride is the owner of an amazing online art gallery and that love of aesthetics perfectly translated to the wedding day. Think mismatched chairs, an asymmetrical ceremony arch, cheeky paper goods, and a warehouse setting with an industrial vibe. Kate Ignatowski photographed and we’re totally obsessed.
From Kate Ignatowski… Tze is the owner and founder of Uprise Art, an online art gallery based in New York City. So I wasn’t surprised at all to see her bring the same creativity and attention to detail to her wedding as she does her business. She especially spent a lot of time personalizing her paper suite, which included “west” and “east” coasters since her and Geoff are from opposite coasts.
The space itself was full of character, from the mismatched ceremony chairs to all the unique nooks and crannies. The asymmetrical ceremony arch full of white flowers and greenery added a softness to the industrial space. And the reception tables were set up to take full advantage of the grand space. Long tables were decorated with white florals, greenery and neutral runners. And Tze took especially great care in the cake toppers, which she hand painted and picked out to be proportional to her and Geoff’s significant height difference!
Upon their entrance, Tze and Geoff entertained their guests with an Argentine tango dance. Tze is a long time dancer and owner of a dance company in NYC, but, after months of practicing, Geoff’s ability delighted everyone! It was a wonderful day and I felt so lucky to be there capturing it all.
