The pros at Florabella Studios took the bride’s vision of “Northern California chic” and translated that to a palette of soft neutrals paired with lush florals for a celebration that’s guaranteed to stand the test of time.
Katie and Tucker met in college at Washington & Lee and dated through the years before getting engaged in 2014 at the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay. Tucker orchestrated a luxurious spa day before he popped the question and then surprised Katie by inviting their families to celebrate at the hotel’s restaurant overlooking the ocean. The bride grew up in the Bay Area and dreamed of a wedding that embodied that “Northern California chic.”
After a heartfelt ceremony at the Church of the Nativity, they hosted an elegant reception at the Menlo Country Club, with views of the redwood-enclosed golf course beyond. Katie opted for a neutral palette of grays and whites, reflected in the simple linen and lush floral arrangements seen throughout the day. In the evening, Ground Control lit up the dance floor with a lively set until the bride and groom drove off in a vintage convertible to begin their next chapter as husband and wife.
It was a wonderful celebration that perfectly encapsulated Katie’s hometown in all its beauty.
