Emily married her middle school sweetheart, Kurt surrounded by a lush Arizona landscape for a destination wedding their guests will never forget. Andrea Leslie planned, Leslie D. This was a romantic, sweet celebration of two middle school sweethearts finally tying the knot. Emily and Kurt have been together since the 7th grade, and their wedding marked 14 years together. They currently live in Chicago, but wanted to have their wedding in Arizona – back where their relationship began. Arizona was a destination for a lot of guests, so they picked a venue that highlighted Arizona’s beautiful landscape – lined with palm trees and a gorgeous mountain backdrop.

Emily envisioned a garden theme for her wedding, with lots of greenery and lush, white floral. Her colors were dusty blue, white and gold – with lots of greenery. She wanted hints of the dusty blue color, and she incorporated it in the wedding sign, bridesmaid dresses, ribbon on invitations; even their cake was blue! To thank their guests for coming to their wedding, they kept with the Arizona theme, with blue cactus cookie favors from Ruze Cake House.
