This celebration is one of those instances where life is wayyy better than any fairytale wedding we’ve come across. Set in the dreamiest Italian destination on the Amalfi Coast, it redefines luxury “I Do’s”. From the mediterranean views off the balcony of Villa Cimbrone to a reception ceiling draped with cascading wisteria by Capri Flor and a larger than life 5 tier cake, see how Sugokuii Events and Jose Villa are making every last one of our wedding dreams a reality.
From the planner… S & D had the most magical wedding in the picturesque town of Ravello, on the Amalfi Coast. 60 guests of their closest friends & family flew from all parts of the world to celebrate S & D for a multiple day intimate wedding starting with a southern italian inspired rehearsal dinner in the adorable garden of Villa Maria and a fairytale wedding at beautiful Villa Cimbrone. The ceremony took place outside in the “tea garden”, where the color palette was blush & cream colors. We hung a beautiful silk chifon curtain in the palest blush color from the roof top of the temple in the tea garden to create a magical and theatrical almost effect which was requested by the bride. In the middle of the ceremony space, there is a 200 year old tree, from which we hung long floral garlands from the tree branches (which took 3 professional tree climbers to hang for us overnight as these trees are ancient and very tall!) to create a “twilight” effect which cascaded above the seating area. After the ceremony, the guests walked though a pine tree forest to the famous Belvedere for cocktail hour. It is the most stunning “balcony” on all of the Amalfi Coast if not anywhere in Italy – and here they had an elegant cocktail hour with a single pianist performing overlooking this breathtaking view. After the sunset, guests walked to the candle lit path to the ancient “crypt” on the property, which was completely illuminated and more dream like than one could imagine. When everyone entered the property – no one could believe their eyes – the scenery was simply breathtaking. The entire roof top of the crypt, was covered and cascaded with this amazing floral installation of cascading (all fresh) wisteria. This was a major highlight and the floral gave a true unreal fairytale like atmosphere that is hard to describe. The wedding reception was a 5 course dinner, prepared by the chefs of Villa Cimbrone. The wedding cake was 3 meter tall and a dream come true – and was prepared with layers of real peonies. It was all in all incredible and a truly fairytale wedding.
