From Katelyn James PhotographyWhat makes Harrison and Rachel’s Chic Farmhouse Wedding unique? They were married on a family farm where they first met! The groom MADE the vintage BANDSTAND! They LOVE Orange Crush and so they incorporated Orange Crush cocktail stands into their reception! Harrison surprised Rachel with a SCOOTER as her wedding gift! Gorgeous blush and coral bridesmaid floor length gowns! Sperry tent, farm tables and chair garland made their reception extra stunning!

She went on a trip with a college roommate for the weekend… and like most weekend roadtrips in college, I’m sure she was just expecting to have a good time. I highly doubt that Rachel ever thought that a road trip to the eastern shore is where she would meet her future husband. Harrison and Rachel actually MET on Harrison’s grandfather’s farm in Snow Hill, MD. Several years later, they celebrated their wedding on the same property. How special is that?! What a dream!! From the old barns to the country roads without lines on the sides, I felt like I was back at home. Michael and I grew up in a very rural area and so country settings for weddings have a soft place in our hearts.

We absolutely loved how personal and welcoming their whole wedding day was! From beginning to end, you could feel the love that Harrison and Rachel have for their friends and family. There wasn’t one detail left undone and one of the best aspects of the event was the handmade bandstand and pergola over the dance floor. Harrison made all of that himself! I was so impressed! The love and hard work that went into making this family farm a wedding venue was so evident.

Michael and I loved being a part of this beautiful day! And if it wasn’t already awesome enough, we had the chance to work alongside the amazing Amber and Emily of KARSON BUTLER EVENTS! These girls get. stuff. done. Everything came together beautifully. From the Orange Crush specialty drink station to the first dance right at sunset, it was all so perfect. Enjoy this backyard beauty!!

  1. Pleased to know about this farmhouse wedding. Couple of months ago, I arranged my cousin’s wedding at one of elegant NYC venues. Invited all our family and friends. Had really good time at the wedding. Enjoyed there a lot.
