Bouquet Breakdown: Modern + Romantic Spring Wedding Inspiration

Happy weekend loves! It may already be high summer (hello 4th of July!), but I’m still giddy about last season’s late spring blooms, and this gorgeously bright and romantic bouquet, by Watershed Floral from this Modern + Romantic Spring Wedding Inspiration shoot is doing  just the trick. Read on to see what’s in this late spring stunner and hear more from Sarah about her inspiration for the shoot!

Modern + Romantic Spring Wedding Inspiration Bouquet

  • White Poppies
  • White Ranunculus
  • Coral Charm Peony
  • Orange Parrot Tulips
  • White Narcissus
  • White Anemone
  • White Bleeding Heart
  • Jasmine Vine
  • Queen Anne’s Lace
  • Variegated Bush Ivy
  • Holly Fern

From Sarah of Watershed Floral… The inspiration for this bouquet was a bride who is sporty and active, but also girly and romantic. Someone who likes to laugh and have a good time and go with the flow, but also appreciates refinement and beauty. And of course the glory of spring! Maine winters are long, especially this past one. By spring we are all yearning for some color and light. This entire shoot was about the explosion of delight that comes with the first blossoms of spring. Our team came together flawlessly around this vision, which is evident in the smiles on the models and the beauty of every little detail.

I wanted this bouquet to be both bold and delicate, which is why I combined wispy greenery with pops of colorful flowers. We had an incredible tulip year here in Maine (an upside of the cool weather), so I was able to showcase some stunning, locally grown parrot tulips. I had a very clear vision for this bouquet and feel that it communicates exactly what I wanted it to!
