We’re fresh off the heels of New York Bridal Week, and the let’s just say, designers brought their A-game. From the gowns to veils and sparkle accessories galore, we took you behind-the-scenes on all the shows, and today we’re sitting down with one of our very favorites. Accessory extraordinaire, Bel Aire Bridal is giving us the inside scoop on their latest veil + accessory collection with a fun Q&A just a scroll below!

What was your inspiration for this collection?

Our collection incorporates blush florals, gold tones, sparkling combs, and beautiful headbands. We are inspired by natural elements such as the soft, delicate flowers and glistening opals. These elements, paired with a touch of sparkle, are the perfect accent to your wedding day look.

Who is your customer?

We design our accessories and veils with every bride in mind. We realize that no two brides are exactly alike and want to help each showcase her personality & originality. By offering unique headbands, combs, sashes, and veils, we believe every bride will find something that is truly HER.

What is your favorite piece in this collection?

We can’t choose just one! Our favorite element this season is soft, plush florals. We have incorporated these into beautiful halos, pins, and clips.

If you could accessorize any woman (past and present) in your designs, who would it be and why?

We would love to accessorize Amal Clooney! She has such a flair for fashion and looks completely chic in everything she wears. She is a fashion icon not only in ready-to-wear but in the bridal industry. For her 2014 wedding to George Clooney, she wore a gorgeous & traditional lace gown & veil designed by the late Oscar De La Renta. Her bridal look was both classically beautiful and breathtaking. Every bride should take a note from Mrs. Clooney and incorporate a bit of personal style and grace into their wedding day look.

What do you think the accessory trends will be this season?

Romantic styles with 3-dimensional florals, metallic lace and stone-washed shades like warm gold.

If you could give brides one piece of fashion advice, what would it be?

Stay true to yourself and remember that this day is all about you (and your fiancé)! If you want to wear a dress with a hint of color–go for it! If your dream is to get that gorgeous shot with your cathedral veil flowing in the wind–make it happen. This day only happens once in your life, so enjoy the moment!

What is one accessory trend you’d love to see the revival of?

We are ecstatic to see the revival of floral crowns! Floral crowns have been recently given an upgrade from the traditional look of the 1980’s. These stylish and fun pieces are now a bit bohemian with soft flowers and delicate sparkly accents. They look dreamy with a flowing veil and enhance a free-spirited wedding day look.

When we design our accessories, our thoughts are always on the bride. This is more than just a headpiece for her. The wedding day is one of the most significant days of a woman’s life; we want our brides to not only look great but feel good about what they are wearing. Happiness has a way of shining through your eyes, and on your wedding day there is nothing more beautiful than a happy bride. Remember: Happiness is the best accessory.

One accessory every style savvy bride should own?

The most dramatic way to turn an ensemble into an amazing wedding day look is by adding a veil! There are so many styles and this accessory beautifully shows the bride’s personality.

Do what you love & love what you do! There is something so amazing about having passion for what you do; it grants you the ability to make amazing things happen.
