A couple years back my hubby and I visited the little mountain town where this wedding takes place, and it’s the ultimate combo of scenery and charm. The kind of place that’s just tucked away enough to feel like a hidden gem, and certainly a cozy spot to say “I do.” Luckily this sweet couple felt the same and brought along great vendors like Philosophy Flowers to make it happen. Our friends at Almond Leaf Studios snapped it all waiting for you inside THE VAULT.
From The Bride…Hayes and I crossed paths one evening at both of our favorite, local restaurant in Greenville, Chicora Alley. We had a few mutual friends but Hayes mustered up the nerve to approach me and begin the conversation. He got my number and even though it took a week for him to call me, he did, and our relationship took root quickly!
The planning process was stressful at times but we’re both also pretty laid back in nature so we were able to make decisions and move on to the next item. We were lucky to work with such wonderful vendors who were incredibly talented and so creative!
Our ceremony felt like a dream and was everything we could’ve hoped for. The weather was absolutely perfect with clear skies. The venue was set on a green lawn lined by cypress trees and breathtaking mountains in the background. The flowers were soft, neutrals with so much depth that matched the romantic, rustic feel. Our music for the ceremony was made up of a violinist and guitarist that played ‘Sea of Love’ as I walked down the aisle. The ceremony was full of so much joy and love. The reception took place at Blowing Rock Country Club that offered gorgeous mountain views and warmth. The band was full of energy and had everyone dancing and having an incredible time.
One word to describe the day is inspirational. It was the most important day of our lives and the moment when I locked eyes with my husband was incredibly inspirational. The day was gorgeous and everything moved seamlessly. We were surrounded by those in our lives who love us the most and it was inspiring to experience this support of our lives coming together.
