Carefully crafted by Cedarwood Weddings, I’m fairly confident that this masterpiece was responsible for a hefty portion of the Bride’s smiles during this elopement day captured by Julie Paisley. From Cedarwood WeddingsLet us share a little-known secret: LBB venue Historic Cedarwood, and our event design company, Cedarwood Weddings, was started by floral designers. The floral and event design talents of Cedarwood owners is key to the highly curated and cohesive weddings at our all-inclusive Nashville venue.

From Cedarwood co-founder Linda Wright… Planning meetings start with us challenging couples to leave with the confidence that we ‘get’ their style. Together we define an overall aesthetic, and then our team can easily craft complimenting details.

Alicia and Benjamin wanted an intimate wedding with sophisticated elements and lush surroundings. Our design team focused on the couple’s love of art to create what we coined as “masterpiece” floral installations for centerpieces, altar, cake and especially for the bride’s bouquet. Our goal for the bouquet was to feel as soft as the bride’s sweet disposition, but to present as dramatic as a work of fine art.

We chose flowers and foliage with contrasting characteristics, like linear blush astilbe, ruscus and dusty miller, with rounded hydrangeas, berries and roses. For drama, we added rich pops of color with ruby dahlias and chocolate cosmos. The free-flowing design is slightly asymmetric, yet balanced by alternating hues of flowers and foliage. Finished with beautiful trailing moon vine and long flowing ribbons, the bouquet is dramatic yet romantic, bold yet soft, and just right for our sweet bride’s sensational look.
