From Mum’s FlowersWe worked closely with Goldfinch Events & Design  on this modern styled shoot last spring. The overall theme of the shoot was a Kate Spade inspired color pop with bright citrus florals set against black and white stripes. For the bouquet we chose a punchy mix of our favorite spring blooms such as coral charm peonies with their variegated coral to peach petals and bright yellow centers. To add texture we pulled in berries and hellebore with a touch of maiden hair fern to soften.

When designing our bridal bouquets, we often ask to see a photo of the bride’s gown so that we can better determine the overall shape and size of the bouquet. In this case, the model was wearing a gorgeous Alvina Valenta ballgown with a very large and flowy skirt. So although the model was quite petite, we were able to make a larger, fuller bouquet with asymmetric movement and trailing greens to follow the lines of the dress. And we finished it all off with fluttering ribbons to match in crisp black and shades of pink.
