From the Bride… We’ve always loved the idea of celebrating our wedding in the silver shades of an olive grove, so when we found this location the rest fell into place. I unknowingly met our caterer while in New York City where I also found my dress, so when I returned it was a matter of creating a day which radiated a laid back, joyful vibe. Bodie and I wanted to create a day and night where people would come together over food, music and laughter. With organic colour tones seeping through the bridesmaids’ dresses and table arrangements, I wanted my bouquet to have a wildflower look, like they had come from the field next door.
There were so many amazing moments during the day, but we both adored the speeches that were given and a particular song and dance created by Bodie’s cousins. The food we had decided on wasn’t traditional alternate drop but entrees of antipasto platters then unique salads and lamb from the family business as the main. We did this to create excited conversation between strangers and friends. At the end of the night we were overjoyed that practically everyone had a turn on the dance floor and I have wonderful memories of dancing with my new husband and all our friends while hearing nonstop laughter in my ears.
