No one tells the story of a wedding day quite like Amy Arrington. She has this beautiful way of capturing even the simplest moments that take our breath away. And this al fresco beauty set in Georgia? Well, it’s one for the books. Planned by Chancey Charm with floral design by Amy Osaba, it’s a celebration inspired by an organic, Anthropologie-style aesthetic while playing to the cues of the springtime season. From Amy Arrington Photography… Lisa & Brian were wed on May 2, 2015 in front of 110 guests in the charming amphitheater of Dunaway Gardens in Newnan, Georgia. Their early May wedding was inspired by the feeling of an al fresco dinner party with the whimsical decor of Anthropologie. With the help of event designer Marilisa Schachinger with Chancey Charm, the couple sought to blend traditional elements with an organic aesthetic and recruited Atlanta’s best vendors to bring their vision to life in one of Georgia’s most remarkable venues.
After the couple were wed by both of their fathers under a botanical chuppah, guests moved into the cocktail hour garden for hors d’oeuvres and a very southern game of corn hole. When it was time for dinner, everyone gathered under the reception tent for memorable toasts by the wedding party and delicious cuisine created by Sun In My Belly.
Once the sun had set and cake was cut and passed, the party moved into the party tent where guests danced the night away thanks to Emerald Empire Band. Brian even surprised his bride with a sweet serenade of “Let’s Stay Together” by Al Green with the band. It was a sweet, personal and memorable day for all!
