From Lisa of A Charming Fête… We began planning Kelly and Doug’s elegant Chagrin Falls wedding less than 6 months prior to their wedding date. We wanted to give these two career driven professionals (the bride with Apple and groom with Accenture) an unforgettable day, a moment to slow down and breathe-in this precious time with family and friends. Their timeless and naturally elegant affair took place at a historic English tudor mansion. It was a truly a lush garden scene on a picture perfect 75 degree day. The outdoor ceremony took place in front of a small teahouse with moss and ivy creeping up the sides all set to lovely strings music. Wispy white curtain draping was pulled open to welcome guests into the dinner space. The color palette was mostly neutral aside from hints of pale blush and peach garden roses and lilac branches foraged by the amazing ladies at Molly Taylor and Co. Beautiful and natural centerpieces filled the space. Airy lilac branches bloomed from above. First of the season peonies in the palest muted hues burst onto the greenery filled low centerpieces. Olive branch and jasmine vine spilled gently onto the tables in a similar fashion to the bride’s spectacular asymmetrical bouquet. Wood farm tables with crisp white details and pewter accents kept the tablescape feeling fresh. Special wine selections made by the couple were served during dinner and Mitchell’s homemade ice cream (the bride’s favorite) was hand-scooped into cones and offered as a late night treat. It was a magical day filled with so much beauty. We were honored to be a part of Kelly and Doug’s special day.
