From Lucy Cuneo Photography…“Best of Spring Florals” — right when early spring blooms begin to wane and the bright harbingers of warm summer days start to peak!
We wanted to highlight the vibrancy of spring flowers by using almost as many colors as we could get our hands on- there are some hues that you typically wouldn’t pair together (lavender and sunny yellow), but using them in different areas creates a cheerful tablescape. Coral sunset peonies, heirloom garden roses, bales of lilac, with almond branches, hellebores, viburnum, with local wildflowers and greenery tucked in.
We loved the idea of keeping the table colors (linens/votives/chairs) neutral and bridal and letting the flower colors shine through. When we spotted the blue glass plates we thought they would add a fresh ‘something blue’ and maintain the airiness of the table.
We had our models lined up well in advance and were so fortunate to be able to borrow two incredible 2015 Oscar de la Renta dresses from Saks Jandel which brought a formality to our lively color scheme. Middleton proved to be a timeless romantic backdrop and we also fashioned an arbor out of flowers for bountiful ceremony inspiration.
