Virginia is for lovers, so they say, and I couldn’t agree more. Set among the rolling hills of the beautiful Stone Tower Winery, this handsome pair said “I do” and kicked off their new journey together. With the Bride’s calligraphy and design talents on full display and Growing Wild Floral Design’s creations adding the perfect amount of rustic elegance, Michael & Carina captured it all, from the early excitement to the late night laughter. From Michael And Carina Photography… This gorgeous fall wedding at a winery in Virginia is everything a bride can hope for! Stephanie and Alex married surrounded by vineyards and overlooking golden hills. The clean slate, cream and green color palette added to the classic feel. Stephanie, a talented calligrapher, designed all paper goods herself. The simple, yet elegant reception details feature farm style tables and lush floral arrangements.
The couple has been inseparable for years; as the sun was setting over the Virginia mountains, they ran across the fields and vineyards. Later, they danced the night away at the Stone Tower Winery surrounded by all their friends and family.
From the Bride… Alex and I started dating in high school, so our wedding was a long-time-coming-celebration with family and friends who have been a part of both of our lives for so long.
Stone Tower Winery was the perfect venue for our big day – a charmingly rustic setting styled with industrial decor and a brand new event space with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the vineyards.
Since I design wedding stationery and paper goods for a living, all of the little details were very important to me. It was fun being the bride and making decisions for myself! (Proven to be much harder than I ever expected, by the way. I now have a great appreciation for my clients’ decisiveness during the design process!) I wanted to incorporate my calligraphy and clean, simplistic style, while at the same time letting our personalities shine through with some bold and witty elements playing off of our last name.
All of my visions were perfectly executed and beautifully captured by our great team of vendors and the amazing Michael and Carina. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day to to mark the beginning of the rest of our lives together!
