It’s beautifully obvious when a couple just got married; they’re glowing, smiles wide, eyes bright. So what better time to take more snapshots than right then and there. The day after these cutie’s festive fall “I do’s,” they headed outdoors with Christine Clark in tow to capture that special glow. From Christine Clark… Everyone who knows Holly and Kalani will immediately describe them as the sweetest and cutest couple out there. Both of their reputations for being easy-going, happy and kind people combine into one of those matches that seem to radiate adorableness and sunshine. This can be seen by their beaming, nonstop giddy smiles in all of the photos during their wedding day.
One of my favorite moments from their day (of which there are many) was their first look. While leading Kalani to the first look location, he was bursting with excitement, exclaiming, “she’s going to be sooo pretty!” They stood side by side down in Pioneer Square, with their hands covering their face, and then looked over at the same time. Kalani’s reaction was priceless, and Holly laughed in delight.
A couple days after the wedding, being the adventurers and artists that they are (Holly herself is a wonderful photographer), I headed with these two up into the Cascade Mountains where we did a newlywed photo session. The long hike up with gear and garment bags was thrillingly worth it as we wandered high up, amidst the bright autumn mountain foliage. Reds, oranges, and greens provided a rich and romantic backdrop to Holly’s delicate blush gown and the blue of Kalani’s navy suit. The sweet intimacy of newlywed life was soaked into their chemistry, creating wonderful moments and a photo session to remember always.
