If there’s one thing we know around here, it’s a pretty wedding. But “pretty wedding” doesn’t even scratch the surface of this day planned and designed by Laurie Arons. She took a color palette of cerulean blue + yellow, and along with A Day In May Design, Paula LeDuc and Valley Flora pulled off the summertime “I do” of our dreams. The one and only Jose Villa photographed the fête, and it’s all waiting in THE VAULT.
From Laurie Arons Special Events…Jaclyn & Adam’s summer wedding in Napa Valley was a beautiful and romantic day, injected with bright pops of fun in unexpected places. The printed pieces were the first place we set the stage for their wedding. The classic and elegant design from A Day in May, with its romantic spot calligraphy by Tara Jones, was given a boost with lively colors of beautiful cerulean blue and vibrant yellow.
Their lakeside Jewish ceremony under a lush floral chuppah was lovely, and the Kosher-inspired wedding dinner that followed was impeccably executed by Paula LeDuc Fine Catering. The couple decided to forgo a traditional wedding cake in favor of a stunning macaron tower. We adorned the tower with intricate paper flowers created by local artist Lynn Dolan…who helped us create another special surprise. The vintage red Thunderbird used as their getaway car was decorated by the most incredible garland of paper flowers in red and cerulean blue.
Our last little treat of the night was a colorful candy bar, in honor of the mother of the bride who loves candy. Guests could take home a bag of mango gummy bears, pina colada jelly beans and blueberry marshmallows in keeping with the color palette of course.
